Lochaber is a mountaineering area par excellence with a high concentration of wonderful mountains with memorable routes to their summits. The area is also subject to the full force of atlantic lows during the winter months, which make it a renowned ice climbing and winter walking destination. The traverse of these mountains is very long with many undulations and is usually completed in three separate visits.
