Gateway to the region is the lovely lakeside town of Pokhara, an idyllic place to relax after a long trek. It is a welcoming relief from the hustle and bustle of the capital, being very laid back and easy going.Most visitors simply promenade up and down the main street, frequent the many shops, bars and lake side restaurants, and take things easy for a few days.
