The highland region of Lochaber contains the greatest number, and best known Munros in all of Scotland, including the highest, Ben Nevis. Lochaber is a mountaineering area par excellence with a high concentration of wonderful mountains with memorable routes to their summits. The area is also subject to the full force of atlantic lows during the winter months, which make it a renowned ice climbing and winter walking destination.

Glen Nevis is the picturesque glen between Ben Nevis and the Mammore mountains. It is a glen more frequented by car drivers with easy access to one of the most impressive waterfalls in Scotland.
