Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has a history that spreads back to before the 10th century. It lies in the centre of Europe where its romanesque, gothic and baroque architecture has been attracting visitors for centuries.

The city boasts a magnificent old town square, a historic Jewish Quarter and an imposing castle, and managed to survive the destruction of the Second World War and Soviet occupation almost unscathed.
