The walled, medieval old town of Tallin is the best preserved in Europe and houses the only surviving Gothic town hall in northern Europe. Its cobbled streets and buildings are protected by UNESCO and are a goldmine of narrow lanes and alleyways to explore.

The park at Kadriorg has long been the city residents' favourite strolling groung. Together with the baroque Kadriorg Palace it was designed for the Russian tsar, Peter the Great.
